Evaluation - How did you attract/address your audience?

I purposly created my product to attract the intened audience. I used a range of different techniques and basically geared everything towards the intended audience. I only used bands in the magazine that the intended audience would enjoy and listen to. I also kept the music quite underground (like most hardcore music and metal music that this audience would enjoy) and i did not make the music in my magazine too 'general', as this would defer my target audience. I used common conventions that the tribe i intend my magazine to be for. For example, the logo for kerrang in an eroded font. I also made it look quite busy on the cover like most metal magazines on the cover. I made the cover artist look slightly 'crazy' so that it would catch the eyes of the intended audience. Also the language used in the magazine. I used slang when needed and didnt use languauge that is too 'posh'.
